The intercom is a real plus if you don't want to get up and ask a question from far away. I use the base and an extra phone in my garage office. I can occasionally eavesdrop on the kids to see if they are in any mischief. I also like the room monitor too. I have 2 others in the 2 story house with the longest distance phone being about being 200 feet away. and still great reception.
Recommended. both keypads are easy to use. Great phone, Uniden is top-notch. Tells you which line is calling when it rings- very useful if you are running 2 businesses from one office.
The major drawback is that even though it has two lines, you cannot use a fax machine & phone at the same time on the same line. I like the phone. Its small, compact, making it ideal for small desks and spaces.
Excellent buy for its price. Sound quality very good, and easily programmed. Second line works well with fax/printer no issues. Good company and product. Phone was delivered promptly.
I don't know why Tech. I wasn't happy that I'd purchased a phone thinking it was new, so I called Amazon.Com and they were unable to assist me with this Market Place purchase because I was outside the 30-day return period when the phone stopped working. But, after you do sync them, they communicate. Support didn't offer this suggestion. After less than 3 months, the phone started having problems displaying caller ID. I didn't like the phone at first.
Even so, you can't swap out these phones with the base's phone cradle because they don't fit. On my own, by trial and error, I finally thought to re-register the primary phone to the base and the caller ID started working again. The extra phones I bought (Uniden TCX905) didn't immediately sync with the base. When I called to get assistance with troubleshooting, I was told the phone was about 3 years old when I bought it "new" and that I'd have to receive a refurbished different model. If I knew how, I'd re-rate this to 1 star because of bad service, the phone is old, and has shaky performance. I had to check the user manual and go through a few extra steps to make them work together.
Another problem is that I can also hear the conversation on the second line when I am using the first line, even in private mode.
